Bellboy Opens a Real-World Learning Lab for Frontier AI

Bring your model. Bellboy handles the robots, the buildings, the operations and the data.

BERLIN, 21 October 2026 - Bellboy today launched its Live Learning Lab at NVIDIA GTC Berlin, giving frontier AI labs a repeatable way to run, evaluate and improve models in the physical world. Teams bring their models; Bellboy runs them in live buildings on the service industry’s largest deployment of high-fidelity robots and delivers rights-cleared training data, evaluation scorecards and simulation assets.

The fleet has already logged more than 10,000 hours on shift and completed 24,000 room inspections at properties under Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, IHG and OYO brands.

Bellboy’s vision is to make real-world experience a routine part of frontier model development. Each run creates an opportunity to understand where a model succeeds, where it fails and what recovery requires. Labs can use that evidence to improve the next version, then put it to the test again across the environments and operating conditions available through the fleet.

“We’ve made this turnkey: deploying robots, running shifts and capturing what happens when machines do real work,” said Sandy Hefftz, Founder and CEO of Bellboy. “Bring your model. We’ll run it, measure it and deliver the data.”

Three services. Defined outputs.

Training data:

Accepted episodes with synchronized sensor feeds, robot actions, outcome labels, intervention records and a coverage report.

Model evaluation:

Scorecards by condition, with trial counts and uncertainty. Autonomous, assisted, failed and invalid runs are reported separately.

Simulation:

Versioned digital twins of real rooms or mechanisms, with matched physical trials available for sim-to-real validation.

Why labs work with Bellboy

Bellboy owns the full stack: the robots, the software, the operating layer and the rights to every episode the fleet generates. Data arrives rights-cleared and ready to train on. Episodes capture complete jobs end to end, including what preceded a failure, how a person intervened and what happened next. This is the data that teaches a model to recover, and it is the hardest data to collect.

Labs choose their setup: Bellboy robots, their own hardware or human capture rigs, with inference onboard or through a remote endpoint. Single-arm and dual-arm configurations span NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano, AGX Orin and Thor compute tiers, supporting everything from task policies to vision-language-action and world-action models.

Built for the world as we know it

Bellboy combines semantic navigation and spatial memory to learn layouts and adapt to changing surroundings. Its NVIDIA stack includes Jetson AGX Orin, nvblox for 3D mapping and cuRobo for collision-aware motion planning. Bellboy also uses NVIDIA Isaac GR00T N1.7 to develop learned robot skills.
